Relative Dates in Reports
Check that you're returning all the data that you think you are!
Did you know that if you filter a report by 'Date Field' equals 'last 3 months', you won't see data where 'Date Field' is this month?
I found this out when my report wasn't returning everything that I expected to see.
The range for the relative date filter 'LAST n
MONTHS
' is ' Starts
at 12:00:00 AM on the
first day of the month that started n
months before the current month
and continues up to
11:59 PM on the last day of the
month before the current month
.
' (my italics).
Be sure to read the range definitions carefully to ensure that your reports return everything that you expect.
You can find all the relative date filters defined here.
In order to show records where 'Date Field' is from the first of the month up to and including this month, I changed my filter to ' Last Modified Date
equals
LAST 3 MONTHS,THIS MONTH
', i.e. the last 3 months or this month.
